It is my goal for you to have the most stress free experience possible with your session booked with us. Below I have compiled some information that will help answer any frequently asked questions & help prepare you & your family for YOUR uniquely designed picture day!
When should I schedule?
Schedule your maternity photoshoot between 28 and 36 weeks of pregnancy. During this period, your belly has a beautiful, round shape, and you're likely to feel more comfortable during the session. However, every pregnancy is unique, so choose a time that feels right for you.
Do I have to pick the location?
Our indoor studio offers a luxurious and comfortable setting, perfect for capturing timeless maternity portraits. With elegant backdrops, beautiful lighting, and a serene atmosphere, the studio ensures a stress-free and stylish experience. If you’d like to include some outdoor poses, we can also explore nearby locations, weather permitting, to add variety and natural beauty to your session. Let us know your preferences, and we’ll create the perfect combination for you.
What do I wear?
Choose outfits that highlight your baby bump and reflect your personal style. Our studio features a client closet with over 45 gowns in a variety of tones and sizes, ensuring we can find the perfect look for you. Flowing dresses, form-fitting gowns, or classic ensembles in solid colors and soft, neutral tones photograph beautifully. Feel free to add a pop of color or personal accessories to showcase your personality. If you need assistance, inquire about our client closet or wardrobe consultation.
Hair & Makeup
We provide professional hair and makeup services here at the studio to make your experience completely stress-free. Our skilled stylist will enhance your natural beauty with soft, timeless looks that will have you feeling confident and radiant. Simply arrive ready to relax and enjoy the pampering.
Refreshments.
To ensure everyone is comfortable, we offer refreshments for the whole family during your session. Whether you’re bringing your partner, children, or other loved ones, we’ll have something to keep everyone happy and refreshed.
Personal Elements
Bringing personal items can add a meaningful touch to your photos. Consider including ultrasound images, baby shoes, or other sentimental objects. These elements can make your session more personal and memorable.
Posing
Your photographer will guide you through various poses that highlight your baby bump and convey your unique story. Communicate any specific poses or ideas you have in mind. Remember, your comfort is paramount; if a pose feels uncomfortable, let your photographer know so adjustments can be made.
Open Communication
Open communication is key to a successful session. Share your vision, preferences, and any concerns with your photographer beforehand. This collaboration ensures that the session is tailored to your expectations and results in images you’ll cherish.
Preparing for Photo Day
In the days leading up to your session, stay hydrated and get ample rest to look and feel your best. On the day of the shoot, wear loose-fitting clothing to avoid marks on your skin and bring along any outfits or accessories you’ve chosen. Since hair and makeup are provided here, you’ll have everything taken care of for a seamless and enjoyable experience.

✔️ Outfit for your partner & kids – If they are joining the session, ensure their outfits coordinate.
Beauty & Touch-Ups

✔️ Nail polish touch-up – Neutral or classic colors look best.

Sickness Happens.
We want our Texarkana newborn & maternity photo studio to be a clean, safe environment for me and my littlest clients. If you or your child/baby is sick, please let me know so we can reschedule. Even babies with a cold will usually not cooperate as they normally would for photos. I will do everything possible to get your appointment rescheduled. But do not panic, I have been able to successfully pose babies as old as 8 weeks. Baby’s health is top priority, so don’t hesitate to reach out if you feel rescheduling is best for everyone’s safety.

What happens next?
After your session, we will schedule your Big Reveal! This takes place about 3 weeks after your session. We will set a time that works best for your schedule & have you and any family that would like to come, come back to the studio to see all your images for the first time and pick out your favorite products for your package.
Your Ordering Appointment
This is the best part where you only buy what you LOVE. During your ordering appointment, you will get to see all your images for the first time. All packages include an assortment of digitals & products, but in addition you will also get a percentage discount on any a la carte items you would also like to make it the perfect package for your family. Parents love that they are able to take home folio prints with them the very same day as well as receive the download link for digitals purchased before they even leave the studio.
